Hangzhou West Lake’s new stunning Xiao Feng art gallery
If you have recently passed by Hupao Temple in Hangzhou,
you may have noticed a new landmark, the Xiao Feng Art Museum.
The gray, rugged exterior of the building
is offset by bright, transparent glass windows
that reflect the blue sky and white clouds, allowing a glimpse of the oil paintings inside.
Green trees are planted in every corner of the lawn,
creating a beautiful picture.
.
The art museum and the “Children of the Times” exhibition
feature over 500 works donated by Xiao Feng, former president of the China Academy of Art,
and his wife Song Ren.
Both artists were born during the War of Resistance Against Japan,
married, and worked together as comrades-in-arms,
studying and creating together,
producing many large-scale classic oil paintings..
It just opened at the end of April, no reservation required, and it’s free.
Not many people know about it yet, so it’s not crowded.
It’s a place where flowers bloom in abundance.
Women of all ages—sisters, aunts, and more—
are all fashionable and skilled at photography.
This place is perfect for modern attire or cheongsam.
Any corner can make for a great photo.
Come on over!.
